Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Confirmed for PS4, Playable at Blizzcon

We’re excited to announce that Diablo III: Reaper of Souls on PS4 will be making its public debut at BlizzCon 2013!

In our action-packed single-player and same-screen co-op demos, players will explore the haunted streets of Westmarch as one of our five original classes, or test their mettle as the unyielding Crusader.

Attendees of the convention will also be some of the first in the world to take on Death itself using DualShock 4, armed with all-new social features and touchpad technology designed to help keep heroes on focused on what they do best: killing monsters.

0 to none as the PS3 version is coded for Cell, the PC version is what will be ported to PS4 minus the AH

I don't know what any of that means, but your saying the PS4 version is going to look a lot better then the PS3? Right?

There's no advantage for them or us in porting PS3 or 360 code to PS4. Some of the menu and interface design will make the transition from current gen but they've also said they're taking advantage of the touch pad for inventory management etc.

/typicalInternetNerd OMG don't get D3, its the worst game ever. Playing and liking D3 is akin to molesting your mother corpse!!!

Seriously though, the ps3 version doesn't look too much worse than the PC version. Blizz has never pushed graphics on any of their games. Its a pretty safe bet that the ps4 version will look identical to the PC version, but have the menus/interface from the ps3 version. It is far from a technically demanding game. Im actually quite surprised at how little lighting there is on all of the spells.

PS3 version looks like it plays BETTER than the PC version. No real money auction house warping the game item drop rate expectations, an actual dodge button, and no endless clicking.

I expect the PS4 version to be the definitive version of the game. Of course, considering what a letdown Diablo 3 on PC actually is, that may not be saying very much.

the early game is too easy now, I put it on highest difficulty and still blowing the heck out of them

Loading screens less than 1 second!

Thanks for the Hammer last night. It scaled to my lvl once I identified it and is rather nice.

Hmmmm... Maybe it was from you Muff. I thought it said from Jam... but it was late and maybe I didn't read it close enough.

Whomever sent it, it was legendary mace that does about 2x the damage that I was currently doing with an legendary 2h longsword that dropped from the Butcher and I thank you for sending it.

I have read that the items recieved from friends are giving legendary items quite often right now. I should have my copy later today, I can't wait to play.

I have never played a diablo game before but so far I am loving it! I read through this thread a couple days ago then watched a few youtube videos and was convinced that I would like it. So far so good!
