Default Knack 2 - Coming September 2017

Knack 2 might be about to be unveiled...

There were already rumblings back in early 2016 when an animator's resume posted online showed this

(was subsequently deleted)

But now reliable insider Shinobi has strongly hinted on NeoGaf that Knack 2 is indeed going to be presented at E3.

Thoughts?

The first one was ass, wrapped in a turd. It was a tech demo you controlled that had zero fun. Maybe they'll remember to include that this time?

I thought the first Knack was visually impressive and it had a decent (but somewhat forgettable) story-line. The game-play mechanics were well implemented but also lacking in imagination. Overall, I felt like it was a missed opportunity for a potentially great game but as it stood it was a foundation that they could build from if more effort were put into its sequel. Hopefully that is the case. Guess we will see shortly with E3 right around the corner.

I did enjoy my time with the first game but I bought it used for less than $10 and I felt that I got my money's worth.

I honestly don't get the hate. Knack was an OK launch game, but come on Dyne. Ass wrapped in a turd? You talk as if the game was broken and unplayable, which was certainly not the case. I played the game all the way through and beat it. I enjoyed it well enough for what it was. I liked the concept of Knack transforming into different sizes and properties and taking on enemies based on Knack's form at the time. Sure the game was linear and a bit on the short side but it wasnt horrible. It just wasn't anything special.

It was the kind of game you expected at launch during the Saturn/PS1 era. It was so ****ing basic and 3-d platformer 101. There was no excuse for it to be as simple as it was and certainly a ripoff at $60.

If people like it that's fine. I'm just giving my opinion.

I thought it was average. Repititive but some good elements of it. There's a lot of room to grow (pun intended) for a sequel so I'd give it a chance. Probably not at launch though.

My 8 year old has been asking me for over a year if this was gonna get made. He LOVED the first one and still plays it regularly even though we've unlocked everything.

I thought it was a good game, but definitely aimed at younger players

Still have the first one installed.

It was ok. I wouldn't mind a sequel.

For all the people who like to rage about more AAA games for PS4's PS+ free line up lol, I'm not really one of them. But! The first Knack, especially as a launch title, should've had that glory. A lot of people say the game is "average", and perhaps we're all too old for the game, but as a free title it could help ignite interest in a sequel if one were to be announced. I see more people willing to buy into a sequel if they already played the first. It happened with me and Rocketbirds, and I'd be willing to give Knack a play.

Totally agree. Knack absolutely should've been a Plus freebie by now, along with AC:Black Flag, Killzone Shadowfall, The Order 1886, and Infamous Second Son.

Silver lining about Knack w (if real): it probably increases the chance of seeing Knack as PS+ offering when getting close to K2 release

What's ridiculous is those early games got discounted to 5.00 on the PSN for a period of time and I'm like "Really Sony? Get off your tightwad ass and put some of these up for free for Plus members already! You've made your money on these!

lol When that happened, I bought LBP3, Tearaway Unfolded, and Shadow Warrior each for about $8. For those prices, why not?! I'd rather buy it cheap and support the developer than wait it out for free. Knack is a different case for me though lol.

The first game wasn't bad at all. I believe that was my first ever platinum trophy so I wouldn't mind playing Knack sequel.

I bought Knack, Killzone SF, and AC:Black Flag already, so they already got my money. However I traded them in after I beat them. I wouldn't mind having them again in my collection of Sony would offer them up for Plus subscribers.

We can take "rumor" out of the title. I haven't even played Knack (yet), but that looked pretty fun and epic! I'm excited. I hoped they'd say that Knack was also free for us today haha.
