Default Worst James Bond Film Ever (part thirteen)

Tomorrow Never Dies, dies. With a commanding lead it will take it's place as the 12th worst 007 movie ever! Next up, I predict...well hope...no, I will be quiet so as not to jinx it.

Die Another Day (Pierce Brosnan) is the official worst ever.

Runners up

  1. Never Say Never Again (Sean Connery)
  2. Casino Royale (1967) (David Niven)
  3. Diamonds are Forever (Sean Connery)
  4. Moonraker (Roger Moore)
  5. A View to a Kill (Roger Moore)
  6. The Man With the Golden Gun (Roger Moore)
  7. The World is Not Enough (Pierce Brosnan)
  8. Quantum of Solace (Daniel Craig)
  9. Spectre (Daniel Craig)
  10. Octopussy (Roger Moore)
  11. Tomorrow Never Dies (Pierce Brosnan)

Rest in peace, Tomorrow Never Dies. You flew too close to the sun.

"Thunderball". Not a bad movie, just a badly paced one.

I see Cremildo doesn't want to waste his vote on Dr. No this time. I would agree that Thunderball is the weakest Connery film left but not the weakest film. Of course, I'm going to pick a Roger Moore film but my favorite seems to be the least favorite of voters. What to do, what to do.

I admit Thunderball has its flaws and it's day is coming...

Live and Let Die.

I know it's cool to hate on Skyfall nowadays because it's "the popular Bond," but there's no way it deserves to lose before the likes of Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only, or even You Only Live Twice.

I thoroughly enjoyed it when I initially saw it, but re-watches have done it no favours. The first act is solid, then it dips. There's just something kinda smug and self-important about the film in general that I find off-putting.

For Your Eyes Only is criminally underrated imo.

It's actually my second favourite Roger Moore film in the series after The Spy Who Loved Me.

Also Octopussy & A View To A Kill > Live and Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun & Moonraker.

It's a breath of fresh air after Moonraker (which I still thoroughly enjoy for its craziness).

It's Bond just doing "normal" spy stuff and it's really interesting to see Moore tackle a grounded plot for once as well.

I think his run of Bond films in the 80s is underrated in general.

I just don't get that at all. I find it tons of fun despite how heavy it is at times. It's one of the rare tentpoles, Bond or otherwise, that I find has improved over the years. (This is a good Twitter thread that breaks the movie down in ways even I hadn't considered.)

But in general, I think all the Craigs improve on rewatch.

Honestly my only major issues with that film are Tanya Robert's questionable acting and Roger Moore's age.
