A magical film. I bought the Australian release late last year (very nice), I'm surprised it's taken this long to be released in America.

Very excited to see this restoration. Hoping these Capra restorations/releases continue into the future....

Sony seems to have a strict 1 Capra per year rule. And they're releasing them on anniversaries when they can.

I wonder if they'll be getting It Happened One Night back from Criterion for next year.

Looks like I overpaid for the Australian import....

Wish it was an Arsenic and Old Lace announcement instead. But good news for those that didn't pick up the AUS region free release.

I've never seen this one, but I've got all the Capra digibooks so far, so I'll be picking this one up for sure!

The last time I saw this was on an old RCA Columbia VHS tape, which had stills where footage was missing. Was this footage found?

The full soundtrack has been recovered, but still 7 minutes of video missing that they use stills and pics over the soundtrack for, IIRC.

Can't believe Sony is putting this out themselves.

They've been consistent with the Capra digibooks. This is the last one I believe.

This is certainly his unknown masterpiece. Really impressive considering when it was made.

Looks like.

Everything else major and unreleased would probably be Warner Archives material.

Saw a restored version in West LA at an art house maybe 20 years ago. An extraordinary film.

Very sad if this is the last of the Columbia Capra digibooks ! They have been great presentations.

There's an HD master of Meet Jon Doe that TCM showed last Christmas and it had Sony's label on it. I'm really hoping they'll release it. I think it's absolutely his masterpiece, but I'm totally down for Lost Horizon, too!

Unknown? Nominated for 5 Academy Awards and won two in 1937. In 2016 Lost Horizon was selected for preservation by the Library of Congress.

Sold. If it has Capra's name on it, it will be mine.

I really hope Meet John Doe also makes it out. These digibooks are beautiful (the films and the packaging)
