Just an opinion: I like the fighting of Yakuza for basic battles, but the open map city is so limiting with the invisible walls and narrow corridors. To see they haven't really attempted to expand the map limits from all of the prior games is disappointing. I like the mini games though.
This game could be awesome if they made a giant city that had open world gameplay without wall limits. You walk in this game, and try to step into the doorway, but it's blocked by an invisible wall. That's fine for a 2D game anyway, though this is 3D space. Sleeping Dogs IMO, is a great choice if looking for open world martial arts. But clearly there are fans of Yakuza since it's still going. |

this has got to be one of the coolest LE sets Ive seen
![]() Hey everybody, we’re back here on PlayStation.Blog today to give you guys an exclusive look at the opening moments of the upcoming PS4 crime drama that kicks off the entire Yakuza series, Yakuza 0. But first, we’ve got some good news for you! First, we’ve got the details on the launch day edition of Yakuza 0! For those who pre-order and secure a copy when the game launches, we’ve created the special Yakuza 0 “The Business” launch edition! It includes the game, a stainless steel business card holder decorated with Kiryu’s Dragon tattoo and Majima’s “Hanya” tattoo designs. Oh, we also made bi-lingual replicas of their business cards from Tachibana Real Estate and the Cabaret Grand. (We also included a special “Hostesses” card, because Yakuza.) Second, there have been a lot of people asking for this, and we’re finally confirming here on PlayStation.Blog that Yakuza 0 will have a digital pre-order starting today! The digital version of the game will include a static theme for PS4 featuring the two protagonists. ![]() http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/...story-details/ |

You know what...I think I'll give this a try. I have yet to play a Yakuza game that wasn't a demo. And given that this is a prequel, I won't be lost by jumping in at this point.

Thanks. They have things pretty linear with the invisible walls that won't let you go very far, so the city is very closed off, small for the most part, and not truly open world. Hopefully I'm wrong for this new one, but it's looking similar to the prior titles. The fighting aspect is pretty good though.
