If Msnbc.com is a Microsoft-NBC Universal joint venture why are all thr advertisements fro blu-ray. They seem to not have much confidence in hddvd

They (and anyone else) will take advertising dollars regardless of who they're from. For example, satellite commercials on cable TV.

I guess the HD-DVD side doesn't have more money to throw away in ads.

I don't know if it'd be legal for them to reject ads from HD DVD competitors. I think broadcast rights require that they honor their advertising rates with whoever ponies up the cash (excluding ads that are offensive, etc).

I seen hd dvd commercials on ABC and FOX. It's no big deal it's done all the time.

ABC ran a Shrek Christmas special during the holidays.

It is simple... this is the way TV Stations and Networks do their business, by selling advertising on air time. Just like that, anyone who brings money will be welcome... I work at a Advertisign Agency.
