Yeah, I could have swore someone mentioned that Felscher mentioned this as a possible Vestron title. It could still be a Lionsgate title, but Severin could have made a deal with them on it, like they have done a couple of times in the past.

Truly a great film and both cuts too. I wonder how they outbid VS on this one? I can only imagine because they did get this from Lionsgate and only Severin has that sort of access. Severin best not bungle it

Another VHS to retire! Now bring on Night Life and Murder By Phone! I do prefer the VHS art, so that's the art it shall be. One of the better folk horror films out there. I didn't see it until 2017 when I saw a VHS for cheap. Knew about it because of the Trailer Trauma 3 set that the trailer appears on and lucked out.

Oh wow! I didn't think this was ever going to happen. I remember this being odd, unusual, and creepy, so I hope it holds up.

I came here to ask the same thing! I'm considering making it a blind buy since my interest is piqued, but I don't really know anything about it.

Thank the Maker!

As soon as I saw this post, I feared that Eyes of Fire would only be available in the boxset but I'll be forever thankful that it's getting a standalone release.

It's a weird one. I personally liked it quite a bit and will be picking this up if the price is right, but the best way I can think to describe it is: It's like an educational video from the 80s/90s in terms of production design and apparent budget (like something produced for PBS that you'd watch in class), but it's really pretty creepy and gets weirder and weirder as it goes on. I don't think it will blow everybody away, but for people who seek out weird stuff and have an appreciation for well-made low-budget horror, I think it will be a hit.

I saw it on a very low-quality VHS rip several years ago, so that could be coloring my impression of it a lot. Very curious to see how it looks on blu. If I remember right, it really has some good atmosphere and cinematography.

This is a masterpiece that I've been campaigning to get released since laserdisc. I'm guessing the director of The Witch saw it since the basic setup is incredibly similar. I doubt most would agree with me, but this is the far superior film.

Sad that this isn't a UHD since Severin actually seems capable of doing those right. Getting it, though. I've longed to see the alternate cut ever since first reading about it in Terror on Tape. As important as this film is to me, it's Severin's final chance.

Been a while since I pre-ordered from Severin. If you pay by credit card do they charge immediately or upon shipping?

I ordered an hour ago and the charge on my card is pending. So immediately.

I had mistakenly assumed this was a slasher film. Definite pickup.
Vestron released it on video back in the day and Lionsgate had distribution rights until 2017. Severin probably got this from the producers as they did with Perdita Durango and Day of the Beast.
