Proper way to sell digital codes question?

Questions regarding selling codes. I list the codes for sale, I dont sit waiting for PM's while staring at my computer. I'll check maybe 30 minutes later. Now I have 5 potential buyers lets say. I message the first buyer, seems right to me. I send them payment info and wait to receive said payment. Once I get it I mark the item sold and contact other buyers and let them know item(s) sold. this usually happens within 20 minutes. Should I be doing it another way? I just received a message accusing me of waiting it out to see who will buy it from a person who was 4th on the buy list.

Just looking to see if I should be selling differently, easier method maybe?

No, not really. You messaged and sold to the first person who messaged you. And as you said, you're not camping at your computer, refreshing the browser. They can get upset all they want to.

I always go by the first person who messaged me. The only time I ever skip over said person is if they lowball me.

Sounds like you're OK.

The only thing extra I do is EDIT the post with PENDING SALE once I send the Payment Information to the 1st legit buyer. At least that keeps others from adding onto the pile afterwards.

Different situation is how long to wait on Buyer 1 to either send payment or at least tell me they send it in a few hours or tomorrow even -- people at some jobs may want to buy, but don't want to do financial stuff on a phone or may have insecure internet. I've never had a problem even with 1-2 days as long as I know what's going on.
At least with the ONLINE button I can at least tell that person is on-site or not. Though some can be like me and I'll have the webpage open, but minimized for hours at a time or 6th open tab not monitoring the site (intentionally or absent minded or even overnight more than once) and it appears I'm on 24 hrs sometimes.
