We are at the last gasp of 1080P HDTVs. You will not be able to get large size HDTVs because they simply aren't being made anymore. No word on 2021 HDTV models at this time, but you can continue to find the recent 32-inch 1080P models in stores.

Why not a 4K tv? It’ll play your 1080 content fine and as a bonus you’ll be ready for 4K.

Why not just buy a 55 inch? is it a space saving thing? Best Buy has some good deals now on 4K TV's and they are thinner than the older model 1080p TV's. So an old 1080p TV that is 49" can take up the same amount of space as a newer 55" 4K TV.
