This is either a Blu-ray or a DVD. There are currently two Amazon.fr listings with the same price of €30,08:
https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B08WNPQ9W9/ https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B08WNW59DP/ The top one says it is a DVD, and the bottom one currently claims to be "'4K Ultra HD' {Blu-ray]". I discovered several months ago that France is way behind the UK, Germany and elsewhere in DVD releases, which is probably why the Season 7 BD was only released in Benelux and German editions, and the Season 8 BD was released in Germany only and did not even have French support. The French Season 7 DVD came out months after the other DVDs and Blu-rays, so I suspect that one of the above items is the French Season 8 DVD. As to what the other item is, I don't know. The Benelux region dropped Blu-ray for Season 8, so as stated, the existing Season 8 Blu-ray has only German (and obviously, English) support. In the past, Universal did multiple different editions for earlier seasons, but for later seasons they streamlined the Blu-rays to release only one identical edition in all countries. It's possible that they swapped German for French or added it in, but given the identical price, I have a feeling that the item isn't even a Blu-ray and is actually another DVD, perhaps with some kind of variant, like alternate artwork or something else. It goes without saying that it would be the shock release of the year if it was actually 4K UHD, but for only €30,08, I don't believe that, even if they dropped the Blu-rays, it would probably be a 4-5 disc set, and so it would almost certainly cost far more than that. |

When I found this last night, I wondered how long it would take for someone to start a forum page. As excited as I was for an excellent show like this to get a 4K release, I just didn't expect it to be true. Chicago Fire has always been one of the top picture quality when it comes to Blu-rays. Imagine if this were to happen though, I'd buy it day 1. Season 8 is the only season I haven't yet purchased, now I really want it to be 4K, haha.
