With the success of F1: The Movie, Apple is starting to reassess its approach to the movie business. According to Variety, this includes developing a sequel to the Joseph Kosinski film:

I'd be all for it, although:
- It still has quite a long road to profitability if they want to operate on a traditional Hollywood model. But Apple may not care too. - I do want to be surprised by them doing a Days of Thunder-F1 crossover, because for one thing you need Paramount, Warner, and Apple to all agree on a variety of terms. Then there's the topic of NASCAR and F1 agreeing to a number of factors, and I am curious how that'd work. Idk if they'd try to do the elder statesman angle with Pitt again or what, but if they think there's a real chance at building out a multi-film saga around this, then I think they need a fresh approach. Timothee Chalamet has the star power, including among the demographics F1/Liberty Media and any movie studio would want to market towards. |
