Wow never thought I would see this in 4k and hdr

Kind of cool since we got Untold Story just recently on blu-ray in US and Germany.

Maybe it's time for 4k HDR Cat III flood...

Excellent film. Hope this means a Blu-ray release is around the corner.

I never heard of this movie but it is on pre-order on the Irish Store. Release the 30th.

Someone already has it? Most important question is if this is the censored version. Or does it include the longer gore scenes like the latest German DVD releases?

Yeah I bought it but haven't watched all yet. Not sure of those scenes though, have to check https://www.movie-censorship.com/ A quick look I would say this sadly isn't the longer version even if "unrated" but the normal version (Unrated US-DVD / CAT-III) Seems the longer isn't official?

Well I guess they just inserted the deleted scenes for the German releases. But lately there have been some HD releases in Hongkong that contain longer versions than before (like Raped by an Angel 4) so I thought, maybe this one will be restored too. Thanks for checking

I have such a vast video library just last month I stumbled across my DVD copy of this movie, been meaning to rewatch this, but with the actor/director commentary track this go round.

Seeing the quality was kind of lacking, very soft overall and the hdr didn't do anything, some spelling mistakes and the stereo sound didn't always matched the actors. Maybe some were dubbed? And knowing how good the german Untold Story was quality wise I recommend you hold out for a eventual blu-ray of this. Seeing US also got Untold just recently and movies like raped by an angel got new discs maybe we will see more soon.

Just bought the 4K/DV version on iTunes here in the UK. Great deal at £5.99.

First impressions are pretty good. It is indeed the regular cut version, but the picture looks great- much better than previous versions.

I love this film, having first imported the NTSC VHS version in 2002. It would be nice to get the uncut version in HD, but this 4K copy along with the Discotec DVD for the uncut inserts make for a pretty good alternative for now.

Happily, the iTunes version features the hilarious original English subtitles, and not the improved ones. “Lily, go play with yourself outside”, etc.
