Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994) 4K UHD - Blu-ray Forum

This is one of the best animated films of all time and one of the best video game movies of all time.
This film deserves a 4K UHD remaster from Discotek Media, hopefully with a new surround remix (hopefully Dolby Atmos) alongside the original mixes on the Blu-ray.

I would even be happy if it's an SDR-only release, as that would actually mean less DNR. That said, Dolby Vision FEL can be made with less DNR than other forms of Dolby Vision.
And I believe that cel animation can actually shine in HDR if done properly.

I would be happier with this film on 4K UHD instead of the live action JCVD movie.

I've heard that the latest UHD from Discotek turned out alright ("Carnival Robots" or something?), if so then maybe good UHD's of old anime are possible after all. If they can do it retaining grain and maybe either using a very light layer of HDR (without nits going too high), or perhaps just SDR, then that could be very nice indeed.

Yes, Discotek have done a couple of 4K anime releases so far. I'm not aware of any 4K releases on the horizon for them, but maybe I've missed the announcement. Don't know how well the previous 4K releases sold.

The only one I have is 'Space Adventure Cobra' and its psychedelic palette looks absolutely glorious in 4K.

I hope they continue with the format, seeing as they get good results from it.
