Definitely one of the greats. I found some other director threads on here and was inspired to make this one. Hopefully people find it useful.

this entire time I thought Kino had put out On Dangerous Ground. This is a top Ray film for me. Is the WBA a pressed disc or a burn on demand?

Pressed.

I just grabbed it earlier this year & fell in love with it.
The score is insane!

It’s also ridiculous that Party Girl isn’t on Blu. One of the craziest films to come out during what was arguably Hollywood’s most conservative era. A Technicolor nightmare that cannot be unseen

I just watched In a Lonely Place for the first time and what a great performance from Bogart. He really comes off as dangerous and unpredictable but still somewhat sympathetic. I noticed that the trailer on the Criterion disc features an alternate happy ending. Amazing they didn't use it since this came out in 1950.

I hope Warner can put the rest that they own out, especially Party Girl and The Lusty Men.

There was an Oliver Signature Edition of Johnny Guitar that has the movie in 1.66:1 Aspect Ratio.

There’s also an upcoming Edition from the UK from Eureka/Masters of Cinema.

There's no review on this site for The Flying Leathernecks. Anyone here own it, and if so how's the PQ/AQ?

Lusty Men has long been thought to be with Criterion
