been looking forward to this.... but the art for the steelbook is hideous.

There should be no other art for this film other than the Struzan poster. It should be a law that if a film has a Struzan poster, THAT is what should be used for all cover art for that film.

Agreed. That artwork looks worse than a placeholder. Truly hope they'll give us the original art on the standard release without getting too creative.

I'll be keeping the 2012-issued steelbook (I added interior art to it) and will pick up a 4K disc eventually.

This took quite awhile to come to 4K and it's a really popular movie. I wonder if there was some kind of rights/licensing hurdle with that Struzan artwork for UHD and they finally gave up and went with alternate artwork instead to finally get it out.

That Struzan was not even the original. The Struzan was the anniversary theatrical release of 10 years. The original was used on the Best Buy SteelBook.

Is there a Rob Reiner connection here? Stand By Me's UHD didn't have a digital copy. He directed that movie and his production company made Shawshank.

Then again, A Few Good Men's UHD did have a digital copy, so I don't know what the hell is going on.

I believe the Best Buy exclusive will have a digital copy as the picture posted above is the European release (which is identical and usually don't carry digital copies).
