Bava’s DIABOLIK coming soon - Sinister Films - Blu-ray Forum

Sinister Films appears to be releasing Mario Bava’s DIABOLIK (or DANGER: DIABOLIK) in March. Here’s the link for the Italian bd at Amazon.it: https://www.amazon.it/Diabolik-Spec-...1&s=dvd&sr=1-4

Neither has any technical details about the presentation, unfortunately. Sinister Films still doesn’t have any social media presence too. If anyone knows the technical details for the disc, please let us know. I’m hopeful for a new transfer and English subs.

The DVD specs on Amazon's page are from the Paramount disc from 2007 (the only release to date to ever have the Italian track with English subs). I'm cautiously optimistic about the Sinister Blu-ray having English options as they normally don't carry any English options on Italian Films. Here's hoping...

I've been advised from someone working in the Italian film industry that this will likely be a bd-r and essentially a bootleg. More news as this develops or as I learn more.

We don’t know yet. The previous Sinister blu rays were printed and they were really good.
In Italy there is a label that publishes mastered bd-r films, it’s called: A&R production.

All retailers now only show Italian language with Italian subs. As I mentioned earlier, Sinister never carry any English options on the Italian films they release. I'd expect Arrow to pick this up for the UK...

The release is out.
The disc is region free with English soundtrack (Dolby Digital and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0).

Wish Arrow would pick this up someday.

Seems to be no blu ray release to combine Italian audio and English subs.
