Original. Second feels like a spoof or something.

First one. Second one had very few redeeming qualities.

As a kid I would of said Gremlins 2: The New Batch but as a adult I like Gremlins a little better don't get me wrong they are both fantastic.

The original is a dark horror Christmas classic I’m planning to slip it in this Christmas to add a little darkness to the season. The sequel is an entirely different thing, it’s better on a technical level and talent involved on really up there. Gremlins 2 is a cult classic in so many ways, it’s Joe Dante’s baby basically.

I accidentally voted for 2. Don't count that one.

It's the original. A Christmas classic. Never fathomed people preferring the second one - it lacks almost everything that makes the original great, and isn't really that funny either.

They're pretty much on par for me, but I'd give the edge to the original for its cosy Christmas atmosphere.

Like them both equally but my vote goes to the original.

Neither has aged well in my opinion but the first and it’s not even close.

Love them both. The first is a more solid story, and I watch it every Christmas, but the second is funnier and has better special effects.

Its kind of a draw and depends on my mood ...but I went with the second, just because I figured the first would get most of the votes.

The sequel is fun, but I've always preferred the first. It was also one of the first movies I ever saw in the theater.

Gremlins. The unrealistic jokes in the second one ruin the believability of the fairy tale story.

I knew I’d be going uphill but the sequel got my vote. Both great movies but the second one is so inventive & the comedy so wildly funny. I mean, the Hulkster in a movie theatre addressing Gremlins who’ve eaten the projector? It’s so creatively entertaining & the movie never levels off with that stuff.

First movie is excellent but has always felt just a little on the over-rated side to me.
