Z nation blu ray collection French version

I noticed that amazon has a French release of seasons 1-5 of Z nation. The website specifies that it is region free. Is this really region free? I have been trying to get this series on blu ray, but haven't found a US friendly set yet. Has it been confirmed that the set from france is region free?

I'm tempted to just buy the set (now 25 euros) because I'll eventually buy a region free player..... did you wind up purchasing the French Z Nation set/ Was it region free?

I bought this set earlier this week. Should arrive monday or tuesday. I can get back when I've got it. At the moment there might only be 12 left in the stock.

So I received the french box and I'm non the wiser. No markings that makes any sense regarding the region.

Any markings on the discs? Do they play (and what region is your player)?

Sorry for the wait. Had to wait for my region-free mod to arrive.

Tested on a region A player and it does NOT work. Region B plays just fine.

There is no information regarding the region, at least what I can see on the box or on the discs.

If anyone is trying to get all 5 seasons of Z Nation on Blu-ray that play on region A players, here is what I’ve found so far from what I’ve purchased. I’m down to the point of only being unable to find a copy of season 5 that is region A compatible.

The boxed set of seasons 1-5 from the UK by Dazzler Media listed gets you more than halfway there.

Seasons 1, 3, and 4 are all region free. Season 2 is region free, BUT it is not 1080p, it is only 1080i, so the episodes aren’t full HD and run a little faster. However, I purchased the Universal Studios German release of season 2 and it is full 1080p. It had no region code on back but plays with no problem in my U.S. player so it is region A compatible.

Season 5 is where I’m having trouble. The Dazzler box, while region free from seasons 1-4, is region B locked for season 5! Argh! Soooo…I purchased the German release from Daredo because I’ve had luck with their discs being region free before.

This set has the same cover art as the Dazzler season 5 release, the only difference being it has a band that specifies it being uncut across the top. Unfortunately, this release is NOT region free. That leaves 2 other releases of season 5—the French release which, based on this thread about the French season 1-5 boxed set, I assume is not region free?

Also, there is an Australian release from Reel that is listed as untested for region A on Blu-ray.com, but the first 4 seasons from Reel are all listed as region B locked, so I assume season 5 probably is as well. Can anyone verify? Thanks much.
