I rented this on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I had wanted to see it in theaters but the the coronavirus pandemic hit before the release had a chance to expand. I thought it was very good—beautifully shot, and with a great performance by Haley Bennett. It was disturbing and poignant in equal measure, though not as dark as I had expected based on the trailer. Visually, it reminded me of David Cronenberg a bit. It's definitely one I'll eventually be adding to my collection.

Not really, but it's a movie open-minded horror fans should enjoy.

I'd compare it to Todd Hayne's Safe.

I'd say so. It seems it's gonna be a very unnerving and disturbing experience. More or less a human psyche study of a women who feels so out of control within her own life that she finds a very odd way to take back that control.

I love horror movies, they're one of my favorite genres and I really liked this film. The actress is absolutely fantastic in this and she is seriously gorgeous.

I also agree that the movie SAFE is a pretty good comparison to this one, if you are a fan of that movie you most likely will be one of Swallow.

more about a descent into madness. so if that psychological stuff is your jam, you should dig this.

See, that concerns me because this movie looks like it offers a lot of promise, but I was bored out of my mind watching SAFE.

Just rented this and was blown away. I'm hoping someone like Second Sight gets hold of it for the UK market and gives it the treatment it deserves. Failing that, the Shout Factory will do!
