James Cameron movies on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray would be ideal:
Titanic The Abyss Avatar True lies Only some of the Terminator movies have been released on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. Getting all the movies in 4K would be ideal. Aliens would be ideal in 4K, and also all the non-Cameron Alien movies would look good on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. |

4K UHD is a pipe dream! The Abyss and True Lies have been on everybody's wish list for years to be released on standard blu-ray, but James Cameron is too busy making the sequels to Avatar to do anything else. He knows people are waiting for those movies to be released on blu-ray, but his ego is getting in the way.

Oh I've definitely been waiting forever for True Lies and The Abyss. I feel like Avatar will be the first to coincide with the sequel. My guess is it will be pushed back again now due to C19.
Titanic would be interesting as it was already released in Dolby Vision for its 20th anniversary. |

I hope we see some more 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs released from James Cameron soon. I just noticed that there is a lot of movies, documentaries, and TV series that James Cameron was involved in that I have never seen that have gotten a standard Blu-ray disc release. Not to long ago I figured out how to search by actor and director on the Blu-ray.com website. Once one learns how to use the interface its nice to see what one’s favorite actor or director has made over the years.
https://www.blu-ray.com/James-Cameron/65994/#Bluray I originally saw Titanic in the movie theater twice back in 1997. Then again in an IMAX 3D theater in 2012. Titanic and Avatar are a must have titles when and if they are released on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. I have owned the Blu-ray 3D version of Titanic since 2012. I saw Avatar in an IMAX 3D theater when it first came out, however I never purchased it on Blu-ray since I got busy doing other things. It’s been around 12 years since I have seen Avatar and over a couple decades for other classic James Cameron movies. There is just so many hours in the day to do things and so many selections of programs to watch in between projects that I work on. I just placed an order for Avatar Extended Collectors Edition Blu-ray and Avatar Blu-ray 3D. It well be nice to see this movie again, since it’s been 12 long years since I have seen it (might sit on my shelf for a few months before I make time to actually watch it). I think Titanic is my favorite, but Avatar is a close second. Also, I purchased some recent and old James Cameron documentaries on Blu-ray that I have never seen before. I was doing some research and I discovered that when James Cameron was given full control of the movie (James Cameron the Director, Writer, Producer, and sometimes Editor), that is when the studios made the most money. Just a few examples: Terminator 2: Judgement Day had an estimated budget of somewhere between $94-$102 million dollars and box office sells was $520.9 million dollars. Titanic had a budget of $200 million dollars and box office sells of over $2.2 billion dollars. Avatar had a budget of $237 million dollars + $9 million for re-release (total budget $246 million dollars). The box office sells were $2.847 billion dollars for Avatar. Both Titanic and Avatar were very successful movies and made everyone involved a lot of money. James Cameron is a workaholic and manages many successful businesses along with making movies. If one looks at the James Cameron filmography chart, the majority of the time when James Cameron has full control over the entire movie, that’s when the studios make the most money. When the quality of the movie is outstanding, that is when people flock to the movie theaters to see the latest and greatest hit movies. After the massive several billion-dollar successes of Titanic and Avatar, the studios should have given James Cameron the green light to make any type of movie that he wants. Over the years some people thought the Avatar sequels would be made somewhere in the world like Hollywood, China, or New Zealand (However as of August 2020 it was mentioned that New Zealand would be the country of all future James Cameron movies according to online sources). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Cameron_filmography Doing research online I was disappointed to learn that the Christian community has blacklisted James Cameron for making a documentary called The Lost Tomb of Jesus back in 2007. I have never personally seen that documentary and just learned that the documentary exists (What if some of the theories in the documentary were true?). I sometimes remember documentaries and movie contents that I have seen over a decade ago but forget the name of the documentary. I believe that back in 2006 I was channel surfing on cable TV and I believe I saw a documentary called The Exodus Decoded. If that is the documentary I saw, then I believe James Cameron was the Narrator for the program and was showing some positive historical evidence that supports the Old Testament Exodus story. But later toward the end of the program I believe the program mentioned briefly finding the Tomb of Jesus and him being married (Which I did not like hearing many years ago since the New Testament record makes it clear he was never married, and in the Christian belief he has risen from the dead). It is my understanding from reading online material that James Cameron use to be an agnostic earlier in life and now is an Atheist (One has the personal free will to be atheist if they choose to be). Again, I have not seen the 2007 documentary called The Tomb of Jesus, but reading comments from Bible believing Christians online, it was not a popular documentary to make (Some people online claim the program goes against the teachings of the resurrection and bodily ascension of Jesus, but again I have not personally seen the program). Christians are taught the Bible including the New Testament is absolute perfect history without error. Over the last 2,000 years it has been considered blasphemy to question the historical New Testament record. But what if the New Testament historical record was not 100% accurate when it comes to miracles, resurrection of Jesus, and his assentation into heaven? Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and even Atheism uses a set of beliefs and ideas to try and convert one to their way of thinking. The problem is some people get upset when one tries and challenge the belief system that they grew up with. I have not seen The Lost Tomb of Jesus documentary, but if it was every released on Blu-ray I would give it a fair user review (The review might be negative, neutral, or positive). I have been taught that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven (is there reliable evidence that goes against the historical record, if there is I have not discovered it yet). Jesus claims that he well return one day to the planet earth with thousands of angels. Christians do not know the exact day or hour of Christ’s return. Some Christians theorize that maybe around the year 2033 Jesus Christ might return in the physical flesh since that would be exactly 2,000 years since the historical record claims he left the earth. However, if 10,000 years pass, 100,000 years pass, or even one million years pass, and Jesus still has not returned then both Atheists and other world religions well be able to disprove the teachings of Christianity. With all religions it becomes a faith issue regarding what is true, and what one believes. Even Atheism is a faith issue if one chooses to believe there is no God. Many are still hoping that Christianity is still 100% true, if not there is a massive amount of historical Old Testament evidence for the Judaism religion which is the foundation of the Christian religion. When I heard that James Cameron and his family adopted a vegan lifestyle back in 2012 I thought that was awesome. There is a lot of scientific evidence in the 21st Century that shows the vegan lifestyle is the healthiest way to live. Being a vegan can extend one’s lifespan a few years. Also, some ancient secular history and the 3 Abrahamic religions have their foundations in the vegan lifestyle (book of Genesis). James Cameron also founded the first vegan school in the United States. The Cameron’s also run a café and grocery store that sells organic vegetables, fruits, and nuts from their organic farm in New Zealand. Long before James Cameron was a vegan his movies taught moral principles of good overcoming evil and peace is better than war (The fictional Terminator movies teach that advanced technology can be both good and bad and peace is better than war. Plus, sometimes one has to defend oneself from the evil in life). Even the Aliens movie its good against evil. I have not watched the documentary Eating You Alive, however James Cameron stars in the documentary. Not everyone likes vegans, some secular and religious people have blacklisted James Cameron because he lives and promotes a vegan lifestyle. Look at some of the comments online at various websites and very negative comments against the Eating You Alive documentary on some websites. The vegan lifestyle is for everyone, it does not matter if one is Democrat, or Republican when it comes to eating healthy plant-based foods. Even very strong boxers and athletes sometimes live a vegan lifestyle. I am hoping for more 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray titles released from James Cameron in the future along with some Avatar sequels in the coming years. Last edited by HDTV1080P; 08-22-2021 at 03:23 AM. |

I wanted to give some more details about my previous post regarding James Cameron’s documentary called The Exodus Decoded. While its true I saw it back in 2006 on the History channel. I was digging through my old inventory of DVD titles and records. And on January 30th 2007 I purchased a DVD title called James Cameron Presents The Exodus Decoded. Also, I watched the entire documentary back around Feb of 2007.
I plan on putting this DVD back on my shelf since when I find time to watch TV it well be Blu-ray titles. It’s been around 6 weeks since I have actually watched any TV. Been busy working on some projects. But I want to post an update that I did see the entire program called The Exodus Decoded from James Cameron back in February of 2007 on DVD. The DVD is out of print but it appears Amazon has a few copies left. James Cameron’s the Lost Tomb of Jesus was released on the DVD format on April 24th 2007 and is now out of print. I never owned or seen that program but Amazon still has a few copies left on DVD. Exodus Decoded, The (DVD 2006) | DVD Empire Lost Tomb Of Jesus, The (DVD 2007) | DVD Empire I am guessing that because of lack of demand James Cameron’s two faith based programs well never receive a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release or a standard Blu-ray release. There are many secular movies and documentaries that people would rather see released by James Cameron on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format and even the standard Blu-ray format for native 1080P HD videotape documentaries. |
