Default Peter Ibbetson Blu-ray (1935) Kino Lorber

The blu ray for Peter ibbetson got a pretty bad review on this web site. However, I would trust the reviews of the blu ray from Robert Harris and Glenn Erickson over that review.

Glenn Erickson (cinesavent):

https://trailersfromhell.com/peter-ibbetson/

Robert Harris:

Another very good professional review of the blu ray:

I have to agree with Blu-ray.com. Based on those screenshots, I would rate the picture quality 3.5 of 5. This site bases its ratings on the totality of all Blu-rays, whereas Robert Harris (whose opinions I also trust) may have based his opinion only on classic movies, a much smaller group of films. Anyway, nNo need to harp about the different ratings when there are screenshots to look at, so we can judge for ourselves. One person's 3.5 is another's 4.5.

I've seen Peter Ibbetson many times and I love it. Maybe because it's a Paramount film, it rarely appears on TV (TCM), home video, disc, or streaming. I bought the DVD that came out in 2005. And the Kino Lorber Blu-ray is definitely an improvement of that.
