![]() ![]() Does anyone else want this in their collection? I've always enjoyed it on DVD when it came out and has a great score by Christopher Young. It was released three days after 9/11 and bombed at the box office. Apparently it was edited from three hours to 106 minutes. An extended cut would be great. Some of the subplots go nowhere, leaving a few plot holes throughout due to the editing. It's not a great movie, but I feel it's an underrated teen thriller that doesn't really deserve the ratings it was given during its initial release. If not a pressed disc, Sony could make it MOD for their Choice Collection series. |

The Glass House is an amazing film. A very suspenseful thriller, with an great cast. Definitely interested in seeing this on Blu, especially since it's been years since I saw the DVD - which is OOP at this point.
Leelee S. starred in three great films in Fall 2001 - TGH, My first Mister, and Joyride. And, in general, she was definitely on a roll in the late '90's/early 200X's with her small role in the creepy Eyes Wide Shut (1999), the lead in the underrated TV mini-series Joan Of Arc (1999), the above films, the historical TV drama Uprising (2001), Max (2002), etc. Agreed. It looks like her last films were in 2012; there was another film she was in that was released in 2016 (The Last Film Festival), but that had actually been filmed in 2010. The best chance this mediocre thriller has at a Blu-ray release is by Mill Creek.
3D? There’s no such thing. |

Acting wise, Drew Barrymore, John C. Reilly and Leelee Sobieski are the best things about Never Been Kissed (which I never liked, no pun intended). I suppose I’ll have to give The Glass House a try.

Despite failing at the box office (mainly due to the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks)… it went on to do very well in rentals. It definitely has an audience out there waiting. Apparently the footage from the longer 3 hour cut was lost though. Diane Lane is always such a quality actress.

It’s not very good. Sony probably has no interest in bringing a catalog title that was a critical and financial failure to HD, at all. Mill Creek is this movie’s best bet.

This is why I mentioned Sony's Collector's Choice line. There are people out there that will gladly pick it up, myself included, but instead of mass producing discs that may be sitting in a warehouse somewhere, Sony can just make small MOD batches at a time. Even Amazon is doing it with certain books.
