I don't think it's a J-card, but rather one of those clear outer slipcovers like KNIVES OUT or SAW.

That's possible but the spines are different which is weird. Perhaps a plastic slipcover but not actually clear since the bottom of the "slipcover" image is all white on the front where the title is. The title on the spine is the same colour as the title on the front but on the SteelBook image the title on the spine is purple.

It's a Lionsgat release so it will be a clear plastic slipcase. The white on the bottom will most likely be like the black on the bottom of the Evil Dead Collection steel's slip. Spine could be same way, covering the title on the steel's spine and so could be different. Lionsgate has been pretty consistent with their steelbook slipcases.

The first one you link is the regular release, the second is the steelbook.

Another thing is that Best Buy mislabeled both of these as The Hitman's Bodyguard on their product pages. Hopefully that will soon be corrected.

That is very cool. For this particular title though I could not like the steelbook design less, and even though just a placeholder, the zavvi UK one will be the same or in the same ball-park, so I might get the US multi-disc edition, even though I can't play the BD as it's region locked, but can settled for the DVD. I just love that artwork and hope I can get it with the o-card through DeepDiscount (they removed my Speed pre-order o-card).
