I didn't see one listed, and given his apparent retirement, it seemed appropriate to reflect on his career that has spanned six decades. Personally, I'm not a rabid fan, but three of his films stand out for me: The Bucket List, A Few Good Men, and of course Batman.

I'm not familiar with it, and the only piece of Scorsese's work I recall seeing is Michael Jackson's short film for "Bad".

Personally, I think Martin Scorsese should direct Iron Maiden videos instead. Up the irons, as the Iron Maiden fans say. ![]() |

Well, my handle was meant as a more general term, not specific.

Good luck - he'll never watch any of those movies unless they've been hacked to pieces by network censors or one of those "clear play" machines.

Easily one of my favorite actors, because of the fact he delivers every single time and makes the best out of what he's given to work with. Also, it's quit obvious to praise him for the bigger / older roles, but some people seem to forget the fact As Good as it Gets wasn't his last great one.
For me, one of his most impressive performances was Warren in About Schmidt, an Alexander Payne movie. One of my all-time faves. It's a version of Nicholson we didn't quite see before and he stole my heart (again) in that one. Such a wonderful acting-job. One year before that he already surprised me (again) in The Pledge, where he was also brilliant and very toned down. And he nailed his part in The Departed, where he was on fire! Three very different performances, all damn fine. It's a shame How Do You Know was his last movie, didn't go out with a bang. But hey, ... Can't complain. He gave us some of the most enjoyable performances in movie history. |
