Default Is anyone experiencing slow internet lately?

I get the internet acts weird at times, but it's at a point where I feel like why am I paying 90$ for? This shit has been going so damn slow for about more than a week.

I don't why this is, but when it gets really windy, my internet gets dodgy and slows down.

I've noticed that after a heavily load of downloading large amounts of data that things will slow slightly. Like pretty much all internet related problems, unplug your modem from the wall and then the device, and then unplug your router from the wall, and then the device. Wait 10 seconds, then plug the router back into the wall, and then the device, and then the modem back into the wall, and then the device. (Unplugging from both ends ensures that any latent charge is discharged so that when you reboot there isn't any sort of IP conflict or other network issue that can cause the device to struggle).

It's also worth noting that the time of day will have an impact on your internet speeds. Depending where you live, if you have neighbors that are heavily streaming/downloading it can have a fairly significant impact on you available top speed.

I get slower than normal at least once a month, but nothing major for at least a year. Over a week would suck balls though. Hopefully you can get that resolved. I thought mine for $65 was pricey.

Reboot your modem & router (if you have one). That usually helps.

Another DSL user here. And it's not just any DSL...it's the Light package so for sure the transfer rate is being throttled. I suppose I could upgrade to faster speeds but that means paying more per month for service that may not be consistent. Also I'd have less in my budget to spend on physical media and that's not a very good trade off.

I use RCN and as much as I hate the way they play around with my bill and try to overcharge me, my internet is so fast and rock solid. Only had one outage in the 6+ years I've had it!

I really hope they don't piss me off with the billing to the point where I'm forced to cancel. Because I don't think I could ever ask for a more stable internet! My parents have Spectrum and they have so many outages!
