Great! Another Val Lewton production to check off from the DVD box set. I wonder if they have the rights to the rest of the set?

That's a good one. I haven't seen anything else by Val Lewton, but I really liked this.

As a Karloff fan, this is great news and i saw this on TV when i was 11 and can't wait.

Karloff should have won an Oscar for this. Alongside Frankenstein it's his best piece of screen acting...dude's mesmerizing here.

I'll be snatching this one up day one. Shout Factory, with all of these classic horror and classic sci-fi titles, is going to cost me a lot of money this coming year !

Wow, this one really needs an upgrade. The DVD was much too dark and taken from a worn print. This is a day one purchase for me.

Saw this for the first time about 6 weeks ago during an October horror marathon. As good as the movie is, the DVD didn't look great. Glad to see that a Blu-ray is forthcoming.

If Shout has at least 4 titles, it does seem like kind of a bummer they couldn't put together some kind of set.

I would honestly like to see that one, or even the 7th Victim, come from Criterion, but Shout/Scream seemed to have done a good job with Curse of the Cat People so I'm okay with them releasing the other titles.

Great to see another film from the Val Lewton set make it to Blu (come on I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE, I'm rootin' for ya!

)The climax of THE BODY SNATCHER is an especially unnerving and haunting one.

Speaking of adaptations of Robert Louis Stevenson, would love to see the superb 1932 DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE get a release; even the 1941 version, with all the elaborate production value and lush cinematography associated with MGM from that period, would look beautiful on Blu...and besides, when has more Ingrid Bergman in hi-def ever been a bad thing?
