Has anyone seen this? Is it any good? It comes out tomorrow and I'm getting close to the end of BSG, so I need something else, I thinking this or Stargate...

Why create a complete series boxset and not include the excellent peacekeeper wars finale!

The series is amazing though have it on DVD and watched a few times.

In the US this was because TPK's rights are held by a different studio. However when released on DVD in the UK, TPK was packaged alongside the rest of the series, so I'm guessing the rights are different here. My guess is that it isn't included with the upcoming BD release because A&E (or whoever) couldn't get hold of TPK in the US to make an HD version (or rather just couldn't get hold of an HD version period... I think it was broadcast in HD?). Or something like that.

The series is pretty good - unique and fun and colourful with some great characters and some of the best puppetry ever done. But it is inconsistent. The first season only has a handful of episodes that I re-watch, and season 3 is the only season that I really like from start to finish. It's not as good as BSG at all, but if you like sci-fi you should definitely give it a shot (and be aware that it gets better than it starts out)

I personally would favor Stargate SG-1 or Atlantis but Farscape is a very good Sci-Fi show too. You should watch them all!

A&E were responsible for the remastering of this set but they do not have rights to The Peacekeeper Wars in the US so even though the rights issue isn't applicable in the UK there is simply no BD to include but I am sure it will get an individual release eventually.

I was hoping my set would have been shipped by now but it's still awaiting dispatch

Hmm, it looks a little silly tbh. And it's not getting rave reviews (plus it got cancelled!) I think I might hunt down the DVD for the first season to begin with.

Anyone able to confirm how the extras on this set stacks up against the US release?

From the scant details that I found it sounds like we got stiffed on the commentaries front. Is that right?

The UK and US Farscape BD's are identical right down to FBI warnings at start up.

Across the 4 seasons there are 27 episodes featuring commentaries.

That's what I was hoping someone would say IJ - the only mention I could find on the extras made it sound like we only got a scant few, where the US set obviously has a lot more.

Still, it's a decent price at the moment so I'll pick it up I think

Just to confirm on this one - there are a lot more audio commentaries than I found listed on any websites selling this set.

It probably doesn't help when the back of the boxset itself only makes scant mention of there being commentaries included, but popping the first disc in, I think most, if not all, of the episodes on that disc, had a commentary track

Happy days, especially seeing as my German PKW set turned up today as well!
