Oh please, we've seen threads reaching 20+ pages in anticipation of a bluray coming out even several months before release date

Keep getting this mixed up in my head with Luc Besson's ANNA.

Both seem a victim of mixed receptions and "problematic" directors.

I was thinking "Isn't this the Luc Besson movie?" and that Lionsgate was probably pondering "Do we sell this thing on the director, or not?"

I also caught up with Tate Taylor's GET ON UP and was impressed by Chadwick Boseman's performance, as always, but the movie isn't successful in what it tries to do.

Actors involved in Taylor's THE HELP have re-assessed its impact, as well, so that hasn't helped.

Then I looked up AVA and said "Oh...THIS guy..."

Wonder why the amazing CHASTAIN worked with him?? But she also just worked with KINBERG, so...

I was planning a ANNA and AVA double-feature as soon as I heard of this one.

And yes...Kinberg was a weird choice.

Yeah, she cameos in GET ON UP but half of her scenes were cut out by Taylor. All the real gritty stuff of the movie that should be in there was cut.

I see no mention of a digital code on the cover of this one or the Amazon listing which is weird because it's Lionsgate and usually majority of their releases boast a digital code. I hope it comes with one because if it doesn't, I might skip the physical release and buy directly from Vudu on this one. Because I have an inkling I might really like this one and might want to rewatch.

its on digital now.. and in certain theatres. I saw it.. it was okay.. a mixed bag.. if you where expecting a leon type of movie it's not.
they did the movie called the help.

Very strange that this doesn`t have a digital code or slipsleeve coming from Lionsgate!?

Will this even be a pressed disc?

It's very strange than there's no info on this disc available anywhere. The Canadian release says it has a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track, which I suppose it'll be the same in the Lionsgate release. But no info on subtitles or any special features.
