The Authority

General Synopsis: The second film in the DCU is the cinematic introduction of The Authority, a team of superheroes with a less-than-idealistic approach to saving the world. The team was first introduced under the Wildstorm imprint at DC Comics in 1999 by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch and was later folded into the main DC Universe during the New 52 initiative in 2011. The team is mainly composed of characters from Ellis’ other team named Stormwatch. The film is currently being written by a mystery writer.

I know nothing about this other than what’s said here. It sounds like an interesting idea.

The Authority is what Warner should have handed Snyder.

Going to be really interesting to see the reactions to Apollo and Midnighter.

No. He would have dried up the charisma of those characters.

Most interested in this since it is a Warren Ellis creation and my dream is to see a film or television adaptation of Transmetropolitan one day.

Agreed. That’s right in his wheelhouse especially the pseudo psychotic Batman and Superman.

Loved the original Wildstorm comics back in the day, but DC being DC, I'd be amazed if they don't mess this up somehow.
