![]() ![]() Tremendously entertaining concert film and more. Great songs, avant-garde asides, and classic off kilter Waits humor. It's never even been on DVD. It aired on TCM not too long ago and the transfer looked like it was straight off a VHS copy. Last edited by HotTastyChili; 01-15-2021 at 11:54 AM. |

MGM is still sitting on it. Lovingly filmed in 35mm. I did see that shitty non-HD TCM airing

Are there any plans to release it that you know of? Do you know the original aspect ratio on that thing? I couldn't imagine it was 4:3 like the VHS which is all I've ever seen. I've searched for the OAR to no avail. My guess would be 1.85:1 for a concert film from back then.

I’ve seen it theatrically. It’s 1:85. I don’t think there is any real interest in releasing it, sadly. I’m very disappointed by the unavailability of Laurie Anderson: Home of the Brave, too |

At least they have a Facebook page. 1,139 people seem to want it. Probably more that just don't know about it. Airing on TCM at least gives me home, as does it cropping up on Amazon Prime. |

They added the film to Paramount+ recently, but I don't have that service, so I have no idea if they updated the source or not. I'd be curious to hear from anyone that does have P+ if it's still the 4:3 pan and scan VHS looking transfer on that service.
