Cold Prey II - Needs a USA blu - Help, Shout!

Years ago, I fell in love with the Cold Prey slasher trilogy from Norway. These guys really got the essence of crafting a slasher with modern production values but a throwback 80’s feel. Sadly, over the last dozen years, we’ve only gotten ONE of the movies, the first film, in an English-friendly HD format…the import Scandinavian blu, which is in Norwegian but with English subtitles. I scored a copy years back, but it is very hard to come by in the USA.

Cold Prey 2, its immediate same-night sequel, plays out in a hospital, almost exactly like Halloween 2, with both victims AND killer being brought to the hospital after the tragic events of Part 1, only to kick the mayhem off again in the dark, sparsely-staffed medical facility.

Sadly, Cold Prey 2 only has a USA dvd release, from Shout (Thank you Shout!). The existing foreign releases of Cold Prey 2 on blu ray (such as the French disc) are typically cut, or are not English friendly, or both. No English subtitles. Same with Cold Prey 3, which is technically the prequel to parts 1 and 2.

Someone like Shout really needs to get hold of the US rights to the Cold Prey trilogy and put out a definitive English-friendly blu ray release for all three films. The franchise is too good to just leave on ice like this…..It’s been out in the cold for far too long.

This is I assume with English subtitles. I love this movie and also wish it had a Blu-Ray release.
