Just finished watching this, it was f'n awesome! Looked far better than it had any right to! The effects were great, the music excellent, a fantastic slice of 80's cheese. Remember renting it from the local video store back in the day. Reversible artwork with original theatrical poster and all sorts of other cool stuff!

Anyone got a picture of the reversible Ghoulies 2 cover? Is it the movie poster? I haven't seen a confirmation of this yet.

The uncensored version of GHOULIES II is being released on Blu-ray in Germany. This will be the US R version that has never been released on any format as far as I know.

Has anyone purchased the new Umbrella release yet that has multiple cuts of the first movie? I ordered it directly from Umbrella but haven't received it yet.

Same! I remember seeing it on tv back in early 2000 and remember being deleted/extended scenes and non to be found when SF released their blu.

I received my copy, and what I didn't expect is that the two TV cuts of the film sourced from VHS are 40 minutes longer not only because of the extra footage...but because they've left intact a bunch of commercials and station news breaks from whatever channel these were recorded from.

I'm kind of surprised they jammed three versions of the movie onto one disc, I'm surprised they kept commercials and news breaks that might only be nostalgic to those who actually watched the movie on those channels, and finally, I'm disappointed they didn't at least give an option to watch the extra scenes separately in the bonus features.

What also surprises me is that considering they went to the trouble of giving us three versions of the first movie, why didn't they include the R-rated version of Ghoulies 2, which was included on the NSM Records German release of the movie. That would have made this a major complete release of the two films. Although the R-rated version isn't included, they did include the deleted gore scenes from the R-rated version in the bonus features.
