United Kingdom Belle (2021) 4K Deluxe Edition from Anime Limited

Quote:
Beautiful, isn’t it? Let’s drill down to go through the contents of this release piece-by-piece:

Collector’s packaging – As per our usual quality, the BELLE Deluxe Edition features Collector’s packaging – a rigid slipcase featuring recognisable artwork on the front and a beautiful image of BELLE on its rear.

BELLE on 4K UHD Blu-ray – Yes, that’s right, you can recreate that cinema experience in your own home and enjoy the movie in 4K HDR quality on UHD Blu-ray! Within the first of two Amaray cases, our release will sport a Dolby Vision HDR treatment, alongside a Dolby Atmos Japanese audio track (with English subtitles), with the film also available with an 5.1 English audio presentation.

BELLE on Blu-ray – Not ready for the world of 4K yet? We still have you covered, with the second Amaray case in this set housing the film on standard Blu-ray with English and Japanese 5.1 audio with English subtitles.

Bonus feature Blu-ray – Our Deluxe Edition also includes an additional Blu-ray disc exclusive to this edition and packed to the rafters with extras – interviews with the production staff and cast, Making of features and much, much more, all too much to fit alongside the film hence the requirement for an additional disc.

Original Soundtrack CD – Of all of the incredible things about the film, the soundtrack is undoubtedly a highlight, so there’s no way we could create a definitive release without it. As a result, we’re bundling the film’s original soundtrack containing the Japanese version on CD for you to enjoy and keep.

A3 Poster – You can still find our theatrical promotional posters around London and elsewhere at the time of writing, and now you can have a replica on your own wall with a bundled A3 version of that great poster artwork!

60-page book – It wouldn’t be an Anime Limited release without a quality booklet included, and our Deluxe Edition will include this 60-page tome crammed with interviews, information, lyrics and artwork from the film.

16 Double-sided art cards – With so many incredible pieces of striking art work, we simply didn’t want to leave anything out, which has led to us creating a series of sixteen double-sided art cards to provide it all for your admiration. Additional, one of these cards is individually numbered and serialised to make your copy of the Deluxe Edition completely unique!

And there you have it, everything you need to know about our home video release of BELLE. Are you ready to pre-order? Be sure to swing by our AllTheAnime.com store on Thursday April 28th at 5PM. We’ll see you then!

The £69.99 price is the SRP. It probably won't be the final price, as was the case for Weathering With You.

The 4K Deluxe Edition will be exclusive to the All the Anime Store and Zavvi.

I'm keeping my pre-order for the Target regular BD steelbook, but will double-dip for the 4K. Are we thinking a US domestic 4K release is inevitable, or should I jump on this?

They ship to the US but the shipping fee is quite high (if I remember correctly it's roughly $30). I usually wait until they have several items I want before placing an order.

That's the VAP release. Not the UK release.

I feel like picking up the deluxe despite the fact I have no 4K player. Why, you must ask?

...Probably for all the extra content it has alone (especially the CD, that's gonna be a blast to listen to).

Thx. I didn't know that, but thought it possible, since it appears (I didn't compare all of the content) to be the exact same thing.

80€ for a blind buy is a bit much for me, but it looks intriguing...

I did some more digging around, and the French release might not use the same shared disc after all (or at least not have English support even if the video encode is the same between UK and FR;
[Show spoiler]the replacement FR UHD of Weathering With You used the GKids/Shout Factory encode with the only major change being the French dub being upgraded to lossless audio and the English dub being lossy
). The UK discs should have compression and authoring by Visual Data Media Services, with the French 1080p BDs being done by Com' On Screen, essentially the French Radius60/Pixelogic (being as questionable in quality as their name itself), so it's very possible the FR UHD will be FR sub and dub only.

Streamed it in HD. I have mixed feelings. One the one hand, I didn't like many parts of the movie and they had trouble keeping my attention. On the other hand, the singing sequences were incredible and there are many parts of the movie that scream HDR. So I kind of want to get this now on UHD when it is available. It doesn't (for me) have the magic of Wolf Children or Mirai, but I still kind of liked it overall.

I might have to pick up the Target steel. I have come to really dislike seeing the English dub credits plastered on the front covers of anime releases. If they were credits for the original voice actors I would be fine with it, but I don't need people credited who weren't even born when the films were made.

Unboxing of the UK Deluxe Edition (4K+BD+2 Bonus BD+OST+postcards+poster+booklet)

I ordered mine July 4 and they already dispatched it on July 5, and it's coming over my country prolly tomorrow or the next day, but might arrive next week in my house because of customs.

I imported this one because: 4K (the movie benefits from Dolby Vision and higher bitrate).. it's also ''deluxe'' but has got a standard presentation, and while I'd have loved a digipak or steel, I'm fine with that because I don't have much space. The content is what truly matters and this is full of it. Can't wait to have it.

I might get the german steelbook just because it's so pretty and I'm thinking about the american GKids edition, too.. We'll see, we'll see.. I'm not made out of money but I love this hobby AND this movie. lol
