Sean S. Cunningham's thriller is getting a VHS-style Blu-ray release from Mill Creek in August!

There's already existing thread for this release, but personally, I appreciate that you've add the photo from the cover.

So you are not ok with animals being killed on screen, but are ok with human beings being killed on screen? That is just seriously wrong

This was one of those films I saw the cover of at the video store but never rented. Though not a great film, it was pleasantly surprised how good this sophomore flick from the director of Friday the 13th was. In the context of other 80s b movies, its pretty enjoyable. Glad to have added this one to my collection.

Why is it wrong? Animals are sentiment creatures that are overwhelming exploited with little to no defense against humans.

I couldn’t care less if humans are killed. I don’t like scenes with animals being hurt/killed and I won’t buy any movie that animals were really hurt or killed in. There’s some pretty big gaps in my collection because of that but I’ll stand by my ethics, thanks.

Responses like this are just odd to me but I guess I must have something seriously wrong with me because I can watch people in films getting sliced and diced and blown to pieces and love every second of it but seeing an animal being hurt in any way makes me sick and pissed off even if it’s just a movie.

I think it's because it's easier to view the human as just acting (fake) but the animal as real.

I really don't like seeing either killed, and to be honest I am a lot more used to seeing people getting killed. Maybe that is why you guys think like you do? Don't get me wrong, seeing an animal killed, especially one that we are "introduced to" is really tough. The scene in No Country for Old Men comes to mind where we see the dog dead.

Is this already OOP? Amazon's listing has been removed for a while now and I didn't see it showing at several other places either, like deep discount.

If it's not on Deep Discount it might be. That's where Mill Creek's website directs to automatically. It's no longer listed on Mill Creek's site either.

Surprising this is OOP, as copies w/slip were plentiful at Dollar Tree just a few years ago.

I remember hearing about that, but the Dollar Tree in my area doesn't, and didn't, have any movies. Thankfully I grabbed it from Amazon before it went away.

That's probably why it's now OOP, as they dumped most of their stock to Dollar Tree.

I ordered a new copy from eBay; there didn't seem to be a lot of new copies for sale.
