Default 3D glasses for Optoma DLP projector- any recommendations?

Hi,

I have an Optoma DLP projector and used Optoma 3D glasses ZD302, which are fantastic.

However I have only 1 left still in working condition and they are no longer available.

I have bought cheaper 3D glasses on both Amazon and ebay - 2 from the Boblov brand and 1 unbranded one.

They work but for all of them, when you switch them on, the 3D is 'reversed' and you have to click on the button again to correct this.

I could live with that, but the problem is that each time there's a big flash on screen (for instance, an explosion), they go back to "reverse" 3D and it's really annoying when it happens multiple times during a movie.

For instance, yesterday I was rewatching Captain America: Civil War and it happened at least 5 or 6 times during the movie!

That never happens with the Optoma glasses, so basically I'm looking for recommendations for good 3D DLP glasses that would avoid this issue.

I'm based in the UK, there are multiple glasses available but lots look similar to the ones I have, so I'm hoping to get a good brand recommendation.

Thanks! 🙂

Default These might work

Have you looked into MonsterVision MAX 3D glasses? They're universal and are supposed to be less tinted than most.

One of my projectors is also an Optoma. I have had issues with sync dropping during some scenes (largely alleviated with enabling Dynamic Black, have you experimented with that?), but my Chinesium and XPand 3D glasses all seem to come back in sync correctly when that happens. I'll have to try Civil War on my rig and see which, if any, brands of my glasses work out.

For the MonsterVision glasses, does your Optoma projector have a 3D SYNC port for them?

No, it doesn't - but as as solution, I tried changing the 3D settings on the projector last night to reverse the 3D at the source, and bingo! The glasses sync perfectly now, no more reverse 3D when the screen goes bright. I watched Dr Strange with no issues. Problem solved!

Thanks for your input
