Australia The Tunnel (2011)

This looks intruiging, but why is there a listing for it if it wasn't released?

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-T...ay/54634/#News

There are other Blus with no release date...

It was released. The only way to buy it was through the film makers. http://www.thetunnelmovie.net/

It was a limited edition release:

I am pretty sure they still have some of the Blu-ray only copies - you can buy it here: http://www.thetunnelshop.com/

Pretty good mockumentary. Lot's of sweaty palms whilst watching. The interviews spoil it a lot though.

I received my copy of The Tunnel today.

I'm not sure if they are numbered in sequential order but mine was 50/1000. If they are sequential then there appears to be plenty more still available.

Besides the inclusion of the 2 disc Hard Copy DVD and the signatures, is there any difference between the Limited Edition and the Standard Edition?

I already owned the 2 disc DVD so I can make my own Limited Edition!

They are completely random There are also still some random signed copies around too

And no, basically the Limited edition is the 2 disc dvd set, blu-ray film cell and signatures

Never knew the film was on Blu until about six months ago. Glad for the upgrade, it’s a good film for what it is.

This is a solid film and one I have no problem recommending. I do find it odd that Umbrella is advertising their release as being the first time the film was released in 1080p though. I'd have to double check but I'm fairly certain the original release noted earlier in this thread was in 1080p as well. It certainly advertised as such on the back of the cover. My only thought as to why they may be saying that is due to the fact that the film was given away freely via torrents as a way to promote it and that edition was limited to 720p and the most widely viewed... and so perhaps Umbrella had no knowledge of the previous blu ray.

I've been in those tunnels for work, they are creepy as! The angular bell thing in one of the caverns that was apparently used to replicate Big Ben's Bell looked like it had been left by aliens...... there was for sure people living down there. Sections of the tunnel under Hyde Park have the tree roots growing through the ceiling..... its like the Last of Us lol

I think it's more that buyers won't be aware of the previous Blu-ray since it was never released on physical shelves, only directly through the filmmakers.

I was going to give Umbrella's edition a pass until I realised it has new extras... Damn, guess I'm double-dipping.

Solid slate for April.
