Javier Bardem to Star in ‘Cape Fear’ TV Series for Apple
Nick Antosca, who created the true crime dramas 'A Friend of the Family' and 'The Act,' is writing and will showrun the series that is based on the iconic 1962 and 1991 movies.

Nolte and De Niro should get cameos in this just like Mitchum and Peck did in the remake

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they have adapted this to a tv series. Both films are favourites but the Scorsese film is in my top 10.

I really loved Netflix's Bloodline series (2015) and always felt like this had the feel and style that would suit a modern take on Cape Fear as a series. I think they even had fun with a couple of episodes where an undesirable character played by John Leguizamo played on the Max Cady style and attitude.

I agree, Bloodline is an excellent comparison. It was a masterpiece of (dangerous) atmosphere, so the story didn't need to progress much.
