I despise Jake Tapper but good for him. He helped made a genuinely fascinating film about the modern war. We hardly get that now. I can think of only 2 good ones.

Nice! I was gonna pull the trigger a couple of times already since the Bluray is not 9,96 on Amazon, but now I`m glad I waited.
Fantastic war movie.

This was another reference-grade 4K end-to-end production from Millennium Entertainment, so I expect the UHD-BD to be awesome. I just wish they would go back and properly remaster The Expendables 3 extended cut for UHD-BD. The release of that film was an early UHD-BD with flawed HDR and it was the studio cut theatrical cut of the film, not the original cut that had more violence. ME didn't even bother to add the digital blood effects from the first two films, so both cuts of the film are oddly bloodless for the most part.

I still haven't watched this movie yet, but it looks pretty good. The more war movies on 4K UHD the better. I'm looking at you Jarhead and The Hurt Locker.

Yes, Hurt Locker would be nice - especially as it is already 4k Dolby Vision Dolby Atmos on iTunes.

This appears to be worth the blind buy.

Definitely, bought the Blu-ray, bought the 4k digital on iTunes and will be getting this as well. Was hoping for Atmos sound though...

I can live without Atmos so hopefully this will be in stores.

I didn't enjoy the directors cut as much. The editing was just all over the place. Maybe it was the terrible auditorium I watched it in. Horrible audio/video quality.

The 4K/SDR version on Netflix was already pretty solid as far as streaming encodes go.

The addition of HDR as well as a disc encode, should really let this look awesome.

Probably the first film with Scott Eastwood where I really enjoyed his performance, and felt his place in the film industry was earned beyond nepotism.

Will definitely be getting this day one.

I didn't get a chance to catch it, were the extended scenes a huge improvement over the original cut?

Netflix took me by surprise with this one. I will definitely be picking this up on release day.

Is this the first UHD from them or did they release anything before?
