With time running out, can they survive, or will they be trapped forever?

This film benefits greatly from the advanced underwater filming technology and the terrifyingly claustrophobic cave diving. Should make for a stunning 4K…unless it ends up a waxy mess. Fingers crossed.

Well, Cameron Exec Produced so there's always a chance he'll meddle with this release. Hopefully not, even though I didn't have a huge problem with Abyss and the other "controversial" titles on 4K.

To hell with that movie and Sanctum, I want The Descent in 4K. It blows the other two out of the water.

Quite excited for this release. The movie has grown on me over the years. From the incredible real sets and the, for no apparent reason at all swearing, it's just an enjoyable movie to throw on or show other people.

Considering the Cameron connection and the fact it was shot using the Fusion Camera System, surprised the 3D version is not being included.

The entry for this release currently says it's Not Rated. Is that a mistake or did I miss something about this release? It's an R rated movie.

Hello all,
Great to see this getting a 4K release.
Still got the 2010 2D/3D blu-ray in my collection, now unavailable to watch the 3D version which was exciting as I remember it.Had hoped for a 4K upgrade including a Dolby Atmos soundtrack as the movie would benefit from it,I guess.Viva physical media!

This is a pretty terrible looking upscale with some fine fake grain to mask it.

Thanks for pointing this out. I just decided to check Real or Fake 3D site (yeah it’s questionably accurate but I used to check it often) and it was a native 3D film. Makes sense given Cameron connection.

Me and my wife watched this in 3D a few years ago and loved it. I'd pick it up on 4K

Can anyone confirm whether this comes with a slip?

I’m thinking not, but confirmation would be helpful. Thank you in advance for the help.

I got a shipping notification from Shout on January 2nd but there's been no change since. Hoping it's just a missed scan and they're not just sitting on it. I could've ordered from Atomic and had it in-hand by now.
