The original ending is on YOUTUBE, for pity's sake. It was included in the De Palma documentary. It's well-established that the footage exists.

Great news. Kino Lorber looking to make a quick buck off this doubt they go through the trouble of adding the original ending. They were not even aware it exists judging by that twitter grab.

Keep in mind, Kino were not aware of other cuts with Death Machine until it was brought to their attention, and now look how stacked that release is. Hopefully they get some good responses, and can be pointed in the right direction with this one.

This response is hysterical - we have all seen this ending, with our eyes! I understand if the KL person manning Twitter can’t know everything about every movie they announce but to take such a weird confrontational approach to a fact that is abundantly clear about the movie, discussed and shown at length in the documentary De Palma, and available otherwise on Youtube is really making me laugh. I expect they meant to cast doubt on the idea this “alternate cut” exists as a film, in releasable quality, somewhere already, which probably is true, but they come across like they are intent on convincing everyone the sky is green.

They're probably just trying to cover their asses, because they haven't even asked yet, and don't want to disappoint people when they're not given access to the materials.
