Not interested if Chaves is coming back to direct. The Conjuring 3 was a major disappointment and nowhere near as good as the first two movies directed by James Wan.

I actually enjoyed 3 quite a bit. I liked how they changed the story from essentially a haunted house to more of a mystery.

Looking forward to 4.

I hope The Conjuring 4 focuses more on the tormented family. I enjoyed the earlier two films since they focused on the family for the first half of the film before meeting the Warrens. We get to know the family and how the hauntings affected them.

still haven't seen Conjuring 3 but I watched The Nun II a couple weeks back and aside from a few cool scenes, creepy visuals it was paint by numbers bland. If this is to be the finale for the flagship, it should be Wan at the helm.

Conjuring 3 was Ok. The first Nun sucks and even though I skipped it just about every review I read said the second Nun also sucked. Let’s get the original folks back for a proper send off here. The first two Conjuring films are pretty good and so have some of the side films.

Too bad Wan lost all interest in this. Would have loved a full movie on Amityville.

That's a helluva teaser. At 2:24 minutes, with plenty of footage shown, quite literally. Part 3 was a step down though after the mesmerizing first 2 installments. I'm not sure I trust this Chavez fella.

Same here, it was a welcome diversion for me.

The forst was and still is a great horror. The second was a big drop for me. Overuse of CG and I grew up in London not far from the Enfield house and know the case well so I noticed all the flaws in that film. The third was awful so this actually looks somewhat like a return to form.
