Ill echo the masterpiece sentiments here. Every time I watch this movie I'm amazed at its ability to quietly establish an unsettling mood without using the usual in-your-face types of tricks.
The score was beautiful.
Hackman was perfect.

I love it until that very last part. It comes off hokey to me. Doesn't kill the film but felt narratively false and too romanticized.

Looks like this is finally coming out after being delayed by COVID.

It's currently being screened in New York and expanding to more cities in late-January/February. Some venues will have a new 35mm print (with the new remixed soundtrack).

It doesn't list Pasadena but I know the Laemmle has it scheduled to run for a week starting Feb 4 which is how I'm likely to catch it.
