Was watching this on streaming and they did a horrible job remastering this. All of the episodes are cropped in 16:9 instead of the original 4:3 aspect ratio. Plus they definitely used AI upscaling for this. You can tell anytime they showed a close-up with how blurry and weird the eyes look. Some examples:
