Good to see a new release of it since the Japanese one but still no english subs and the german title is laughable but hopefully there will be a uk edition soon!

Why is it laughable ? It's a direct translation of the English title.

The Blu-ray of ISLAND OF FIRE (THE PRISONER) said in the announcement, on the back cover and in the menue that the disc contains Cantonese audio. Well the only Chinese audio track available on the disc is Mandarin, which tells me that Koch doesn't know Jack Sh*t when it comes to the two main Chinese dialects.

Wouldn'T be surprised if they messed up SITES as well...

There is no 3 languages, only 2, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Yep, let's hope that. On a side note, if I'm not mistaken, Island of Fire should be in Mandarin? Did the Koch disc have English subtitles? I vaguely remember that it didn't have.

Island of Fire is in Mandarin with only German subtitles. It includes a DVD with the Taiwan version in Mandarin with burnt-in Chinese and English subtitles.

Wonder what credits SITES will have - AFAIK there are credits in English with the track 'Magic Fly' and different ones in Chinese with a similar kind of song.

just got current info of the specs

Audio: Deutsch / Kantonesisch / Mandarin / Englisch / Englisch (alternative Musik)
Untertitel: Deutsch (werden gerade erstellt) / Englisch

apparently also a NEW HD Master, not the "old" on the Japanese and USA Blurays...

Credits are English as it's Sony, not Hong Kong Source.

"New" HD master? The JP BD's came out 2013/2014 and the horrible Twilight Time US BD came out a year ago, summer 2017. And now there is a new HD master? Confusing.

Are you sure that "old" version means the "old" HD master? Or does it refer to the German theatrical version which was cut?

Hope the English subtitles are genuine subtitles translating the original Cantonese audio and not dubtitles based on the English dub like on the Sony DVD and the Twilight Time Blu-ray.

There is, what I believe to be, the millenial HD master, the 4k one within the last few years, and now this.

There are the export credits and the US ones, depending on release, they have been synced with whatever soundtracks.

they have no German Print to include as Bonus so that possibility is out of the Question. i was told there wil be no Dubtitles, they noticed that first when checking available Subs.

It's good they're checking, though it could mean it's the theatrical ones which, whilst better than dubtitles, is suboptimal.

Could someone help with a retranslation for the BD?
On IMDB it mentions 2 English versions - I must have seen the English export version (similar to the Hong Kong one) as I remember Magic Fly but not the voiceover or re-titling.
