'Free Guy' is officially releasing in 3D on August 13 in the US, and worldwide on varying dates, confirmed by RealD 3D on various social media platforms.

20th Century Fox stopped releasing 3D Blu-rays long before Disney bought them...

And Disney didn't take the chance to release their 3D titles like "Spies in Disguise" later...

So I think there is no chance for a 3D disc from Disney. Please proof me wrong!

What a pity, I'm pretty sure this movie "lives" from the 3D in it, like "PIXELS" does.

Hope it goes the RSM 3D way sometimes with our Australian friends. Would be also an instant buy for me!

Well their website does mention Disney as one of their distribution partners so fingers crossed.

While it's nice to be optimistic, I don't hold out much hope for a 3D Blu-ray so if you do want to see this in 3D, go see it theatrically.

My local Cinemark Theater doesn't show 3D movies anymore. I think Rise of Skywalker was the last one they had.

Fantastic German cinema + aircraft museum by the way

Enjoyed "Tomb Raider 3D" there on this gigantic screen & sound system. Due to a traffic jam we were to late & they saved the situation by rebooking the tickets

I was shocked to see that my Local AMC Theater was offering 3D showings for this... 4 per day. They aren't available to book yet but the times are already listed.

Cineworld in the UK will be showing this in regular 3D and 3D 4DX. Quite a few showings currently listed.

Let's hope they manage to get the left eye/right eye the correct way round this time (see my rant in the Jungle Cruise thread).

In the trailer the main character puts on what look like 3D glasses. I wonder whether this film will be in 3D all the way through or only during those sequences (like Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, which I recall is only in 3D in certain sequences).

Regal are showing this in 4DX. I’m going to hold out for some early reviews, I feel like this movie is either going to be brilliant or terrible lol

I'm pretty sure this movie will only work in 3D for me. You can also imagine the great layering according to this picture.

Still hoping for a 3D blu-ray disc wonder from Disney!

Keep writing to Disney about this guys!

I think it would make sense that you ALL write to Disney Germany, so they see there is worldwide demand:

Tell them where are you from and that you would love a 3D disc release of this movie, even to import it to your country from Amazon Germany

3D DCP is available in the US, its up to the chain or theater owners if they will add a showing or not. Where i work we had 1 showing for Black Widow for a week, 0 showings for Jungle Cruise, will know about Free Guy next Tuesday but i am not very confident on that, trying to convince the owners that one 3D showing will outsell a 2D showing at least once a day is really tough around here.

At this point I wish I was in Dubai to watch this and 'Black Widow' in 3D, but sadly I'm stuck here in India and my state hasn't reopened cinemas till now.

Yeah, this is a 20th Century Fox release, the chances of a blu ray 3D release from Disney/Fox overseas is very unlikely.

Though I kinda wish that this film was distributed in Japan by Warner Bros. Japan IMO.

Nice to hear about the 3D release, I checked fandango and aren’t many, but did find limited 3D showings. Hopefully I can get to one.

It had been quite a while with theatrical 3D (even those releases which had a 3D component weren’t playing that format near me), but felt great to see Black Widow and Jungle Cruise in 3D. Haven’t seen IMAX 3D since Rise of Skywalker though, and think that may be over with (all those movies played in IMAX 2D only).
