The old lady reminds me of the old lady in The Visit, where she's rapidly scratching at the door after dark when the kids are told to lock their door.
This looks promising. If it's in theaters, I'll probably see it for creepy horror. Okay, not playing at my theaters unfortunately. I'll have to wait for disc hopefully.

Unfortunately, this was really bad. The only scares it had were jump scares until the finale. The twist at the end was ridiculous. When it isn't trying to be scary it was like a different movie with a soundtrack that sounded nothing like a horror movie's. The flashback at the beginning was interesting but basically isn't relevant until the end. There was a newspaper clipping that seemed to be important to the plot but I wasn't able to read the headline since it was so dark. There's so much that is left unexplained. The finale was alright but was too little too late.

There were four other people in the theater when I saw this and three of them left like an hour in. I saw this over Malum and I wish I had seen that instead. Worst movie of the year for me, handily beating Marlowe.
