I'm curious to know which scores are being included, especially for SHERLOCK JR., and whether the oft-missing trick billiards shot will be present and correct in SHERLOCK.

Saw these two listed on their website for a July 9th theatrical release a couple days ago and assumed volume 2 would release at the same time. Must mean Seven Chances and Our Hospitality will make up volume 3, as they’re the other two advertised with 4k restorations.

May I ask where you are seeing these announcements? The last set was listed on uphe.com, but I don’t see a listing there yet. Thanks.

If you click the source link it brings you to BB, who has it up for pre-order, though the pages aren't live yet.

Was that shot on the UK BD?

Interesting. Can you tell me a little more about this? The trick shots scene is one of my favorites and I wasn't aware there were any missing or alternate bits.

Very interested in The Navigator as it wasn’t in MOC’s set.

Will be picking these up for sure. I don't remember if I've seen The Navigator before, but Sherlock Jr. was fantastic!

I kind of wish Sony would reissue the 10 Columbia shorts Keaton made on Blu.

The shot at 1:14 of this clip is missing from all home video versions prior to the Kino Blu-ray, which includes it.

Heresy! LoL, j/k. I love Buster so I'd actually pick that up too. Rewatched a few of those a few months back and man, they're so disappointing. Still, it's Keaton and watching him work in Stooge territory is occasionally interesting to say the least.

I thought Sherlock Jr. is normally paired with Seven Chances? This double bill ran here in Atlanta a few months ago, and I thought it was the case elsewhere. Apparently the Cohen restoration for Seven Chances was released in France, so figured it would be ready for release here.

Anyway, more Keaton is perfect, it was an excruciating wait as I regretfully passed on the MoC set.

I mentioned this in the Volume 1 thread but that release is barebones, no extras to speak of. Just a couple of 5 minute clips of celebrities talking about how much they love Buster Keaton as a way to advertise The Great Buster and the restoration trailers you can find on their website. I expect Volume 2 to follow suite, which is disappointing.

I suspect those two films are often paired because they are Keaton's two shortest features, both clocking in under an hour. Since Cohen is releasing all of their holdings as double features anyway, it doesn't really matter the length. Splitting those two films apart may actually create the illusion of more bang for your buck. There's certainly no creative reason why Keaton would have wanted those two films together forever and always. They weren't originally released that way.

Or the fact that The Navigator came out after Sherlock Jr. These haven't been restored in 4k yet The Saphead,The Three Ages,Go West And College. It's kind of difficult to release them in chronological order. So the only features that are restored that haven't been released is Our Hospitality and Battling Butler. Also Lobster Films premiered their restoration of Our Hospitality and it looks stunning.

According to Cohen's website, they have completed 4K's of both Seven Chances and Our Hospitality, but make no mention of Battling Butler.

That is extremely disappointing compared to the stacked MOC box-set release which is now OOP.
