Has anyone heard when the Panasonic 9.5mm laptop bd drive will be out? I saw it announced at CES but nothing since. Does anyone know the model number to make the search easier?

Any other 9.5mm drives that you are aware of?

it was just a prototype so u gusse is as good as mine id assume around summer or around setp

I have been looking for the same thing as I have an ultra light notebook that won't fit with a more commonly available 12.7 mm drive. According to this link, Panasonic has shipped samples to PC manufacturers. I don't know exactly what they mean by "samples" or when we can buy the "samples" from eBay. If anybody knows the model number, please let us know.

yup. mine is sample (12.7).... I guess it is difficult getting the non-sample
