Default Seinfeld and Drew Carey Show ever on BR????

I posted this in the "will this ever" thread but no one really answers questions in there, so I'm making a thread because it's something I really want more than any other series.

When is the Seinfeld series coming out on BR? I read a couple posts and google searches saying that Sony is going to be remastering the entire series onto BR but those posts were more than 2 years ago. I want to get the complete series coffee table book that they have but it's not in BR and its like $180. I don't want to get this and then 2 months later they come out with a BR version of the exact same thing.

Also do you think they will ever come out with The Drew Carey Show on BR or DVD for that matter. I've only seen the first seen on DVD and there is a 6 episode compilation but that's it. Why didn't they ever come out with the entire series? It was one of my favorite shows growing up.

I could see Seinfeld on BR down the line. Once TV on BR gets more popular. Drew Carey not so much, it wasn't nearly as popular.

Eventually Sony will probably get around to "Seinfeld" on BD, especially since they spent so much time doing new HD transfers for the DVD boxes (although I have yet to see them broadcast yet; for some bizarre reason, the two Fox affiliates in Chicago seem to be broadcasting uprezzed 480p versions).

"Drew Carey," however, may never show up. I think the reason they're not doing anything with the show on DVD is because of music licensing issues. If that's the case, a Blu-Ray release is definitely out of the question.

I hope they come out, they probably sold millions of copies on DVD's so why not make BR.

I'm about to go shawshank on them and send 2 letters hand written ever week.

Ah yea I remember reading something about that. Stupid music industry, those greedy bastards. I really liked this show I would get it if it came out on either DVD or BR.

I hope so. They just started showing Seinfeld in HD on CityTV for the last month or so and it looks very very good. I was actually impressed by the transfer.

Who created this listing? Isn't this a bit premature?
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Seinf...Blu-ray/33557/

I was searching for Seinfeld because his comedy show this year was outstanding. I have never until then laughed that much for a period of 80 minutes my entire life. I thought maybe he had released or was about to release a film from the tour.

(What is 'BR'? If you're talking about 'Blu-ray Disc', you should use 'BD'. But, considering Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) don't know how to spell, who could blame anyone for using an erroneous initialism for said company's trademark.)

I hope it comes to BD sometime in the near future. I have the complete series on DVD, which doesn't look too bad, but BD would be a step up!

Who stepped on your anal sore. And when I posted this that wasn't up showing the first season was coming out.

Plus I wouldn't just buy the first season alone anyways. I hate when they do that with shows that are already finished. Like Sopranos, they only came out with the first season and it didn't sell that good. So then they put out the last season because, well, it's the last season. They are morons. Who wants to buy season by season if the whole show is over. Put out the entire series! If they did that in the first place on BR!!!!(yea that's right I said BR) then they would have sold a hell of a lot more then what they did with the first and last season alone.

The same exact thing happened with the Drew Carey Show. They put out the first season and again it didn't sell that well so they didn't put out the rest of the season. If they put the whole series out in a box set everyone would have bought them.

And now I bet the same exact thing will happen with the Seinfeld season 1 on BR. It's probably not going to sell that good so they wont put out the rest of the series. I know I'm not going to buy it because it's only a single season. I don't want just one season I want the whole series and so does everyone else. That's why these never work out and then the studios get discouraged because it didn't sell good and they get the "So why put out the rest" attitude and don't finish what they started.

Bunch of morons these studios with their testing water scenarios.

Eventually the Drew Carey show will get some kind of release someday, especially since he now has daily exposure on TV.

I doubt Seinfeld will ever be out on BD. It made a killing on DVD, true, but who doesn't own the DVD's already who wants them? And who would really upgrade that?

Seinfeld will definitely make it to Blu-ray one day. The Drew Carey Show has zero chance to ever see a Blu-ray release.

I don't. Seinfeld ended when I was 10. I didn't start watching it until I was around 17. I always wanted to get the whole series but never had the money. Now that I do, I don't want to spend it on the DVD set, I'm not collecting DVD's anymore, I'm collecting BR. I only kept the dvds that aren't on BR yet. Once those come out those DVD's will be sold/traded/thrown away.

I know Seinfeld will eventually come out. If Drew Carey comes out on DVD I will buy it. I would much rather it came out on BR but w.e I'll take what I can get of that show.

I would love Seinfeld on BD, but I'm not buying single seasons.

That is not related to the thread topic, but I have to ask: What is 'anal sore'? And who is Who?

In all likelihood you'll need to wait til next year for this release.

I'm assuming a decline in DVD and an increase (Friends as Exhibit A) in TV Shows on Blu.
