I haven't seen an episode of Westworld. I decided to wait until it all wraps up and then will check online to see if they land the ending or pooch it. If it gets a good response then I will check it out.

I thought this season started well, but was letdown by the last couple of episodes. Which is a bit of a trend with this show, imo.

Still glad it’s being released in physical 4K.

The first season is definitely worth watching, even as standalone.

After that, it’s not for everyone. And from what you’re saying about expecting a good ending, you probably won’t enjoy the whole ride.

Each season shifts drastically and tries to reinvent itself, not always for the best. Lots of interesting themes, though.

I heard they might cancel it and they should. Show is all over place and nothing really even matter because it's so beyond bogus now.

Season 3 and 4 have both been pretty bad and a big mess imo. They've very stylish and the sets/production looks great but it's all style and no substance. Season 1 is an absolute masterpiece and possibly the best season of a TV show I've ever seen. Season 2 is still decent, as it closely follows the events of season 1 but some of the "ideas" just get a bit too whacky and "far out," even compared to the first season's sci-fi nature.

I have the first 3 seasons on 4K (got the 3rd season for like $18cdn on release, might have been a pricing error on Best Buy) but I don't think I'll be picking this up unless I can get it cheap too.

I loved the season except for the finale. Hated the finale.

Yep they better renew it for a final season its really annoying seeing some people say its trash now. I think they just don’t understand it. Also them saying ratings is bad. Which is a terrible excuse because people watch it on Streaming now not cable anymore. It is on top of all countries on HBOMAX. Its a brilliant puzzle of a show i think its a masterpiece.

Great to see TV shows continuing to be released on the format.

I think many of their ideas are good, but the execution is often sloppy and doesn’t really get that deep anymore. In the first couple of seasons, things had a lot more weight to it. Especially the philosophical side of things.

Just when it seems to be heading to an interesting direction, they keep pulling twists that wipe a lot of progress away. I really wasn’t wowed at all by the reveals in the S4 finale. The road to S5 feels very bland, which is probably a first for this show.

Also, I don’t know how everyone else feels about this, but the over the top violence is finally starting to get on my nerves. I know it has always been a part of the show, but in the beginning it was more of a satirical/critical way (it was all a “big video game” to guests).

But damn, if it isn’t a stylish show. Pretty great imagery. And that theme song still rules.
